Mulberry and Port Wine Jam
Ingredients:
4 cups fresh mulberries
2 cups granulated sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/2 cup port wine
Instructions:
Rinse and remove the stems from the mulberries.
In a saucepan, combine mulberries, sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until the mixture reaches a boil.
Add port wine and continue to simmer for an additional 15-20 minutes until the jam thickens, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat, let it cool for a few minutes, and then transfer to sterilized jars.
